Just to combat stereotypes of all kinds, Zalando launched the “Zerotypes” campaign in which it invited people to break down prejudices and celebrate their individuality. Zalando has chosen singer Emma Marrone as ambassador for Italy. Not only a singer but also a music producer and star of the small and big screen, Emma is much loved by Italians both for her talent and for her spontaneity. The Gaabs were asked to develop a campaign narrative to focus on female empowerment and promote those positive values. We developed a script of authenticity and body positivity in a video and accompanied Emma during a typical day in Rome, the city where Emma lives. Between moments of relaxation at home, a session in the recording studio and a walk through the streets of Rome, the artist talks about her career, the love for the city and how her relationship with fashion has evolved over the years.
